Important to not is that this song is probably NOT about masturbating, or to only a small extent, that being the nature of autophilia and autoeroticism. The narrator is attracted to himself. Sexually. Common sence that he will pleasure himself through masturbation until he's able to find a clone machine. However very important is how agressive this song and some of its lyrics are. The narrator claims to love himself but also states that he hates himself so much a little later. It's possible that his self-eroticism was caused through trauma or an abusive relationship. He copes with hate through recieving love from the person who is sure to love you the most - yourself. Obviously in a disordered mind is space for self-loathing, thus the "molest myself" and "hate me so much" lines. A lot of things point towards the narrator stepping out of an abusive relationship and shutting in on himself like "I don't need you"-line. Another angle would be that the narrator has been left or his former love interest broke up with him, causing him pain. |
