Seager always works in a verse at the end that sums up his whole song. ie: "Woke last night to the sound of thunder, how far off I sat and wondered. Started hummin a song from 1962. Ain't it funny how the night moves, when you ain't got that much to loose. Ain't it funny how the night moves, with autumn closin in. |

I agree the first part is what a woman needs to be aware of to understand a man. The second part is the manner a man can relate, or not relate at all, to a woman. Emotions have no logic and so angels will fear to tread. Both require a consideration of the other's past, and how that affects the way they are now. The third condition is "strangers in the night" when you jump into a relationship without knowing the other's past. You may step on old toes: the effects of old relationships and not be aware of how small a world it is when prior relationship types cross paths. Love this song and it's haunting lyrical message of human nature. |
