The lyrics are completely incorrect. The original lyrics seem to talk about people using the internet to their narcissistic advantage. It seems implied anyway, especially with the correct line, "Of screen name verbal vanity", and the mention of Narcissus and so on. I highly doubt this song is about Tarja or even Anette. It would be childish to hold on to conflicts from many years ago as grudges. |

Ever Dream is my most favorite Nightwish song. While both being about an unrequited love and being lovelorn, I find that this song has a dual meaning, but with similar contexts: The first one is about wanting to know if that special someone you loved dearly ever felt the same way you felt about them, as well as wanting them to come back to you, because you still love them so much. The second meaning is more about wanting to know if someone you have never met before feels the same as you do, and longing for them to be yours forever. The similar thing both meanings have in common with is that there's a bit of hope of finding that special someone again in the future. |

Tuomas wrote several heart-breaking love songs in Century Child. I can assume he went through a terrible break-up and wrote the songs about his feelings dealing with the break-up and heartache. I mentioned under the Forever Yours lyric being about forever loving that special someone so perfect to you whom you loved dearly. To me, Feel For You has a possessive tone, and too deals with the various effects of dealing with heartache after parting ways with a loved one. Enduring the effects of heartache and the break-up hurt like hell, and being without them is an endless nightmare. You still feel for them; you still want them, because they were yours; the opposite of Forever Yours, where the speaker says they belong to their loved one. In Feel For You, the speaker expresses their possession over their ex-lover, and desperately want them to return to them, despite the relationship being dead, due to being unable to deal with the pain. Admittedly, some parts of the song baffle me, like the whole snake thing. Maybe that's the speaker's way of giving into vices in order to cope and make the pain go away. |

I think Forever Yours is about dealing with the effects of heartache due to being let go by someone you loved so much. A lot happens to you, mentally and emotionally, and I think this song covers a lot of it. When going through such a rough time, you fear you'll be lonely and alone forever. All your life, you constantly longed for someone perfect to you; and after parting ways with that special someone, it's as if your love, as an emotion, has been depleted. You don't really feel it anymore, or you think you may never love anyone else, because you still love that person you gave your everything to; so to you, you'll be forever theirs. You'll forever love, remember, and miss them and everything about them dearly. |
