If any of you were REAL BREAKING BENJAMIN FANS you would know about his severe alcoholism and this song is about trying to fight it. The lyrics in my head is a very obvious play to that effect. One of the earlier comments nailed it. It has nothing to do with a relationship with a woman. It's the relationship he has with the bottle and himself. I'm sure his addiction cost him relationships in his past so that's where it left a hole in his heart. It's a very emotional song of addiction. In the lyrics of a lot of Breaking Benjamin songs it's about addiction. I will not bow is about when he was finally recovering from it. Dear Agony was the first album written without alcohol. |
