| I have always been a big fan of everything Charles Addams did, from the original newspapare cartoons and collections to the TV series and the '90s films. I love it all. But when I first heard this... 'theme'... I just got laughing so hard. It might be one of the lamest lyrics I've ever heard. 'Kick and they slap a friend'? What? So NOT funky or cool or hip or whatever he was going for. I love badness and this one is so bad it's good, I love the cheesiness (the outfits, the hair, the Hammer moves, just all of it)... but I never thought is was actually good or well done. It's pretty goofy, and was lamentably unhip even then, one of the first Hammer flaws that brought down his star so rapidly. | |
