In the Vietnam war, napalm was used extensively. It was effective at clearing large areas, and often with 100% fatalities. Often times it would fall on both allies and enemies, causing extensive casualties. A popular fan interpretation of the song is about a US Marine, who, after being surrounded with his squad calls a napalm strike on his position. |
