Janet: And super heroes come to feast To taste the flesh not yet deceased. And all I know ... is still the beast is feeding This phrase very much reflect the practice of supposedly beneficial large corporations, like those who make tremendous profits on areas hit by a disaster. They land contracts with the government to rebuild and reconstruct over the loses of poor people. Superheroes also are the big pharma which make money from people who are suffering from disease by selling them skyrocket priced medicatiions. These superheroes are worst than cannibals, because these superheroes "feed" on the living! And still the feast is feeding! |

I really like this song a lot. The messages of the lyrics resonate to an individual level. That Brad would sing the first stanza emphazises man's weakness. And he is admitting to it. "I've done a lot"...is as human being an admission of things he'd done and for which he regrets most, thus the reason of him searching for the truth that would justify some of the things he'd done. And sometimes. too, to justify his actions, he lied to himself. |
