Linkin Park – Points of Authority Lyrics 6 years ago
In my opinion, this song is about politicians. Specifically, the politicians who think they're "the shit" and the most powerful person in the world, and this song kinda reminds them that they're just a regular person. The line "You like to think you're never wrong." Seems to indicate this. In Shinoda's part:
"Forfeit the game before somebody else takes you out of the frame." To me sounds like Shinoda saying that eventually all politicians are kicked out of the top seat and that nothing never lasts.

This song is very open ended, as is most of Linkin Park's songs. It could be about abuse, relationships or any number of things. That's the beauty of Linkin Park's songs is they never have a concrete meaning, it's all in the ears of the listener, which makes them so special

Nothing More – Love? Lyrics 6 years ago
I feel that this song is really about a girl wanting the singer to be better, but as he can't she eventually leaves him. The singer is left alone, but still loves her, and is singing his song to try and get her attention

Nothing More – Sex & Lies Lyrics 6 years ago
This song is obviously about a woman who cheated on their oblivious loved one and now the loved one has found out and is ending the relationship. Generic concept, yet Nothing More pull it off so well

Nothing More – Mr. MTV Lyrics 6 years ago
I think this song is about the celebrity mindset and lifestyle where they waste everything for a host of stuff, particularly sex and drugs, mainly to appease the music corporation

Nothing More – Do You Really Want It? Lyrics 6 years ago
This song is clearly about the people or self-proclaimed activists who grumble about world issues but never take the step to actually take action, whether it be laziness as sung about in the first verse or fear of oppression as sung about in the second. It all culminates into a powerful chorus that calls out such people for not looking within to make the change in themselves to then change the world

Nothing More – I'll Be OK Lyrics 6 years ago
@[Deuce8311:29919] It's amazing, isn't it? When I first heard this song I didn't think too much of it. I listened to it again and I almost break down in tears after every repeat. The slow tone, Hawkins' tortured vocals, and the lyrics, oh the lyrics! It's so sentimental, so painful, so chilling and so heartfelt, you can tell Hawkins poured his soul out to this song. It's so emotional, especially in the bridge. If you watch the acoustic version live (I'll link to it), it's even better. This song is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard, and it's honestly healed me more than I think

Papa Roach – ...to Be Loved Lyrics 6 years ago
In my opinion I reckon it's Jacoby singing about being the master of a sex slave of sorts. The lines "I want domination. I want your submission." Makes me think it's a line Jacoby says to a girl he's going to bang. The main line of the chorus is like a tortured shout, saying he doesn't know what he's doing and all he wants is "To be Loved". The bridge "Take your past, burn it up and let it go", is basically him saying that this is her life now and there's nothing else

Seether – Against The Wall Lyrics 7 years ago
In my opinion it sounds like a broken man whose problems have caught up with him and he's pleading with someone to bring him out of it. The line: "And if my back is against the wall, with no one to turn too" really drives the point home cause he's been pushed to a place with no escape. The line: "So will you catch me when I fall?" if the pleading, asking someone to bring them out of the darkness
