I believe it's about a guy whose girlfriend/ wife was pregnant and did not tell him. He really wanted a child. She had an abortion and then told him or he found out and left her. "Breathing is the hardest thing to do

Good bye". Meaning breathing is the hardest thing to do, was because she didn't give the baby a chance. Then all that's DEAD for you, you lied. One thing I can't figure out and had never heard that expression before is "Feelin' like a hand in rusted shame" Hmmm? |

Scott and Robert thought up this song while sitting in a hot tub. Scott say it is about a girlfriend/groupie who use to hang around them. The one day she went out to get a fix and was never seen again. They heard later that she was raped and murdered. |

I have to agree with most comments here. These song lyrics fit Courtney Love like a glove. The lyrics are firmly about her life. He most likely won't say who it's about, for legal reasons. If he did, Courtney would contact all her lawyers and sue for slander. Being the Too Cool Queenie she is. She can never have enough money, even after she had Kurt murdered. The thing I laugh about now, is she's aging fast and she looks like she's 60 years old. I laugh because she's such an egomatic slut who is realising she is looking "Hard" and there's not enough makeup in the world to cover up her rapidly aging face. I've seen a few STP concerts on video and Scott always says "You all know who this song is about". I've only seen them once live in concert and he said the same exact words right before going into Hollywood Bitch. My first thoughts were, it must be about Courtney Love but, he never said who it is about. Probably for legal reasons of possibly slander. Who knows? |
