@[waitingonyou:27365] - I love your analysis. I wasn't looking for this discussion here 12 years after you wrote this. I have had this song on my cycling playlist for some reason for many years.Today I was just researching the phrase "Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same." I think I can help with that one line you didn't get at the time... "we'd never know what's wrong without the pain" in the context of the rest of your analysis, I think it is simple. Going after the kind of person you think you want always ends up causing us pain, and the pain is just there to tell us they are the wrong pain. Now THAT should be "right in front of you." I'm sure that you figured this out sometime after June, 2006, and by now you are happily married with children! Final thought, I might be simple or wrong, but I was really impressed with your insight as you went through each part of the song. Take care. |
