Speaking as someone who's fallen pretty hard for a girl and finding it hard to talk to her about it I'm feeling a lot of love for this song at the moment. I think it's pretty clear - the singer's got a thing for someone and they can't tell them about it. Either because they're shy or some other reason (the object of affection is involved with someone else, or they're a friend or something). Projecting from my own feelings - yeah you don't feel motivated to do anything "Nothing better to do, When I'm stuck on you" You don't sleep too great ("Getting hard to sleep, But it is in my dreams") The one thing I'm confused by is the use of the word 'allowed'. It's like the writer has been told by the person they've got feels for that they don't want to hear about it and don't want to talk about it. So basically it's a really cool, really kicking song about being a pathetic lovelorn teenager... |

| On the surface it's a guy looking at the end of a relationship and trying to be positive, wishing the person that's leaving him the time of their life. I think the underlying tone is that he doesn't feel this way at all and is hoping that the person leaving him's life sucks without him. | |
