This is about a fight, from the perspective of one hurt by the partner's actions. It is not clear what the partner did (you're all alone in a grave you made yourself), but given the anger ("gasoline near a flame" and "burning bridge about to break") it is likely to be either a money issue (like gambling) or an affair/cheating. The only critique about this song is that as sung, the original lacks the fiery passionate anger in the lyrics especially at "Get out, get out". The only point when you feel that simmering anger is with the sound of the harsh consonant "t" in the lyric "the more your spit your bullshit / the more I hate your name." |
