To me this song is about how people judge each other so harshly and hurt each other; but at the end of the day we are all alike, and are fragile like eggs to some degree. At the end of the day respect and trust is so important. If we analyze the Walrus totem, we would see how important caring, respect and kindness is. |

To me this story is about a kid who uses his imagination to go to far off places where he can imagine, do, and be anything he wants. In this place, he starts writing and develops a relationship with his (imaginary?)Friend. It’s like his spirit is allowed to be free and creative. But then he grows up and perhaps responsibilities take over, and he forgets that place; that magical part of himself.
I used to love this song as a child. I guess it’s a reminder to grow up but not grow old. |
