The verse that reads: Try to tell me I was evil, try to trample on my soul Try to make me think that they were righteous But the plot of the lie was whole The last line is incorrect. It should be: "But the cloth of the lie was whole" It is a clever wordplay on the idiom "making something up out of whole cloth" for something that is completely made up, a complete fabrication.
