This song came on my old job all the time and only recently I found out what it’s called. I rarely pay attention but I feel like I’m the last one to figure this out lol. It honestly sounds like they’re the only ones who can see past the lies we see as true. “The sun, it hasn’t set yet. It’s just gone beyond the hill.” The next two lines I honestly don’t know what it means yet. “Keep all of the lights on It's bright enough for now You mocked my color blindness But even I could tell” I’m probably gonna get this wrong but this sounds like it’s saying we’re short on our power source and we’ll soon forever run out. Yet truthfully, we have many sources and it’s just blindly following the majority. Mocking color blindness sounds more like mocking them for being literal about life rather than figuratively. And the chorus sounds like they and you are the only ones to see the truth; the only rightful rulers because they won’t turn lies into truth. Although that’s what it sounds like to me. As weird as I sound, probably why I don’t pay attention to lyrics all the time lol. |
