| It’s been 14 yrs since @[ussleep:40539] commented on this song released in 2001, and I don’t know what “moonlight over Michelle” refers to. I seem to recall something happened in a US town named Michelle, possibly a riot or protest involving police violence, judging from the rest of the song. Michelle is such a common name it’s hard to search for a possible incident. Does anyone know what “moonlight over Michellle” refers to?\n\n[Sorry for this being a revised repost. Corrections in caps: In the 3rd verse, the line should be "immigration and tax represEntatives STUMBLE UPON THEIR LAWS" Also, I agree with @[zachten:26857] that in the 1st verse, the line should be "let those locks fall to the ground or let them stay MID-AIR" |
