this is kind of about the album as a whole as opposed to just this song, and its a really dumb and weird theory. my idea is that the whole album is just Jesus of Suburbia telling his grandkids a story. in song of the century we hear the line 'tell us a story, by candlelight, of waging a war and losing the fight'. this could very well be Jesus's grandkids asking him to tell them a story, after he's just told them his story, of his adventures in the city, with Whatsername. |

Anyway, i wanted to say that this song (Viva la Gloria! not Viva la Gloria?) is definitely amazing, and once you figure out the storyline to 21st CB it makes this song and Last Night on Earth and others so much sadder and even more beautiful. |
