| @[inpraiseoffolly:53861] I like the "I Robot" aspect, you bring up and that reminds me of similar technology - computers. Before I retired I spent several years as a systems and network administrator and a sizable portion of that is keeping track of what's going on inside our hardware, often with activity logs; scanning through those is sorta like reading the computer's mind. Getting wonkier, several years back, I was hospitalized with a virus which had a field day damaging my brain. Part of treatment and rehab was checking my brain's activity with EEGs (electroencephalographs) and MRIs. A few months after I was released, I listened to this album and when this song came up I couldn't help but think of the doctor's reviewing all those scans and, basically, "looking into my mind." It was probably fairly dry reading but... So, perhaps, "looking into my mind," from my particular point of view becomes a natural part of maintenance and upkeep for robots, computers and, in some cases, humans. | |
