Great song. But in the versions I've heard all they're doing is counting from 1-4 in different languages. I've never heard THESE lyrics before. It's nice to know the song has a meaning this deep though. Kraftwerk was seriously underrated and way ahead of their time! |

This song is featured in the movie Sling Blade. It's a beautiful song about trying to please God apparently. The only thing I did not agree with in the movie was the 'it's okay to be gay because you will still get into Heaven' message from Billy Bob Thornton. That's a dangerous lie that will lead the LGBT community to destruction.
The bible says that men who lie with men SHALL NOT inherit the Kingdom of God in the NEW testament. There is a clear line drawn between sin and righteousness. Acceptance of others does not mean CELEBRATION of their sins. It's downright cruel to lead someone to believe that danger is safety.
Leading non-believers to believe that wickedness is righteousness is no different than knowingly handing someone a cyanide milkshake and encouraging them to drink it. Why are some Christians so liberal about sin? This is why the gospel MUST be STUDIED. |

I'm not sure what the motive behind this song was. But I'd be lying if I didn't say it makes me cringe to hear any child telling her Father that longs to hug and kiss him and asks him to let her be his wife. I tried to give Fox Studios the benefit of the doubt since Shirley never claimed any of the Fox executives molested her. I can no longer watch any of their Shirley Temple movies in good conscience. |
