@[Hyperion395:34748] NO, NO, NO. It is NOT about cocaine. BOC, their managers and associates are all into outre subjects. HP Lovecraft, supernatural events, and yes Vampires. Which is what this song is SO OBVIOUSLY about. I am an armchair expert on vampires and I even asked Eric Bloom their rhythm guitarist - and he confirmed it. As well as confirming the HP Lovecraft references. |

@[mingoesbueno:34747] Oh NO absolutely NOT! I was emailing Eric Bloom on and off for awhile and asked him if I was right (of course I was) that this was yes a love song but also about vampires!!! Eric is the rhythm guitarist for BOC. Even though I am completely aware of vampire symbology -that it IS about vampires!! BOC has numerous vampire and supernatura, as well as HP Lovecraft themed songs. |

Quite some time ago I was in email correspondence with Eric Bloom. I was inquiring as to which songs were influenced by HP Lovecraft. During the correspondence I Love The Night came up along with the other songs with a vampire theme. And yes, ILTN is about vampires. It's pretty obvious if you simply listen and/or READ the lyrics. Not only that, it is on Spectres along with (oddly enough) NOSFERATU. Totally based on the 1922 silent black and white film, uh Nosferatu. So, uh, cocaine, NOT! |
