Alot of the people here are wrong about the anti Marxist/Communist ideals in the song. The song speaks about a privileged upper middle class kid who is in collage being sent to a third world country. While the country in question (Cambodia) Was Communist, most third world countries in general have the same issues as Cambodia. This is not about Marxism/communism, its about a privileged kid who hasn't been in any danger in his life |

@[BitterGenXer:26343] The problem is that it is not the ideology fault, the problem is that it is a third world country. Any third world country has these conditions, communist or not. Alot of the deaths you hear about, in communism are straight up false, and the western education system fails/does not care for showing any of the good things. |
