Oasis – It's Better People Lyrics | 4 years ago |
Classic Noel lyrics: non-specific "oneness" What it means to me is the sun coming up on yet another ecstasy fuelled party, with friends I loved, in the mid 1990s and living the kind of life I always wanted. The brilliance of Noel's art lies in the ability of the person experiencing it to transfer their own meaning. It will have meant something to Noel, but I don't think he's making a specific point. |

Blur – Resigned Lyrics | 4 years ago |
I love Resigned. Such a beautiful, sensitive song. Obviously about a break-up. I loathe Commercial Break, and its presence as an integeral part of Resigned has always annoyed me. And then... I had a sudden realisation. It's called Commercial Break. It's loud, aggressive, noisey and upsets the clam and reflective space that Resigned brings about. Is it a comment on actual commercial breaks? And the affect that they can have on the art that their interupting? Is Damon messing with us? |
The Brian Jonestown Massacre – Let Me Stand Next To Your Flower Lyrics | 6 years ago |
This song is like a dream about my ex... During a break-up. I wept as you walked away... I love you was all I could say... That desperation, just knowing you're gonna hurt so bad. You're like Candy to me... And Candy's no good... You want a hit, just want to feel better. But you just have to endure until it gets better. |
Sebadoh – Magnet's Coil [Acoustic] Lyrics | 6 years ago |
The first time I heard this was when an ex sent me a link to it, saying she was listening to it and it summed up where she was with me and us. It still makes my heart ache. |
