This song is about Dolores O’Riordan. She wrote a song called “Electric Blue” for the Cranberries 3rd album. “A thousand boys who look like you” is a reference to her Tom-boy looks at the time. Repeat the words untill they are true was a classic trademark of Dolores’s style as she could make a whole chores out of repeating just 1 word. “Now you've got me so confused 'Cause I don't know how to sing your blues Jesus Christ, what could I do? I don't know how to sing your blues Now I can't get my head around it I thought I found it, but I found out Could be about how he cant figure out how she sings like she sings. His reference to Jesus is probably because Dolores’s song “Electric Blue” is a prayer to God, he’s asking God how the hell she sings like that. Na na na na na na na na na is featured prominently in Dolores’s tune. “Cover my Eyes Electric Blue Every single night I dream about you” A crush he had on her, like I did, and countless other male singers.
