It's about people that believe in god. Or people that feel this sense of superiority from believing in a god. It does not deny or refute their internalized sense of superiority, but instead simply questions it. It proposes to the believer that the possibility of them being wrong in all of this. The belief itself is the root cause of all the hatred that we feel towards each other but is never spoken of directly. To believe in the superiority, makes us all inferior to the believer, weather we like it or not. Therefore how long will we be waiting for your modern messiah to take away all the hatred that separates us all within you mind? Still awaiting I... |

I think this song (and i think i may be the only one to see it this way but) is about bottling up your emotions. being hurt by someone and not saying anything about until one day you finally do. break up or get away from that individual. but the hurt remains. you send the pain below by keeping it to yourself, in turn those same empotions "suffucate you". most likely resentment. anger with yourself for never having done something earlier. anger with them for having done it. the anger suffacates you. |
