I asked Aaron about the meaning of the Spider songs at a concert one night. The yellow, orange, and brownish spiders are representation of the seasons or as he explained birth to death. He also explained the meaning behind the versesof each song, his explination of the verse on Orange Spider was: "about a mouse that was at my mother's house." that's the whole of it folks. |

"The sun and the moon are my Father's eyes" is a school of thought taken from traditional Hinduism. It's interesting here how he mixes stories of Hinduism, Judaism, and Christianity into this song. Aaron is brilliant. The post about this album being based on a poem by Saint Francis is true in a sense. The album title recieves it's name from his work (brother sun, sister moon) but is corrilation with this song is minimal at best. |

i read in an interview that the song was about a close friend of his dieing in a car crash right after they left his house. notice the line "12:03, our last goodbye"
he also said in the interview that he was upset with the radio edit version that the record label put on the air. saying that the song wasnt written for mainstream radio. so i think thats pretty cool. thursday is defenitly a great band. |

well this band is extremly religous. they where originally on solid state records which was an all christian band record label, they tour with other christian bands, they say their a christian band on stage, and their lyrics are obviously christian oriented.
and if you pay attention to this song you can tell this is about the sacrafice of jesus. Its plain to see.
