@[auserlesensafir:25871] Wrong again. Ronnie James Dio STATED this song had absolutely NOTHING to do with Christianity. He said he based it on the slaves in Egypt and that does NOT mean Jews. The Jews were NEVER slaves in Egypt. Both Jewish Historians and Egyptian historians have far proven that.

@[igorb:25870] And another idiot spewing Christian theology on a song that has absolutely nothing to do with Christian theology. You Christians are just freaks on this song, insisting it is about Jeebus the Dead Jewish Zombie Still Rotting on a Stick, or Lucifer or your idiocy about the Tower of Babel.

Which in essence? Makes YOU a babbling idiot.

As Ronnie James Dio stated, this song is more in line with what happened to the slaves in Egypt...oh and don't say the Jews were slaves in Egypt and so this song is about them. Because even Jewish and Egyptian scholars state with absolute certainty that the Jews were NEVER in captivity in Egypt nor did they help build the pyramids.

You Christians really need to get off the crapper and really study the origin of your religion and all the stupid bullshit lies that are now proven from your buybull.

@[tnc:25869] LOL. Another idiot throwing buybull bullshit into this song.

Dio stated this song is similar to the story about the Egyptian slaves. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with Lucifer, Satan, or Christian ideology.

The song has been called a "morality tale", and its lyrics are written from the standpoint of a "slave in Egyptian times", according to lyricist Ronnie James Dio.

They relate the story of the Wizard, an astronomer who becomes "obsessed with the idea of flying" and enslaves a vast army of people to build him a tower from which he can take off and fly.:70 The people hope for the day when their misery comes to an end, building the tower in harsh conditions ("In the heat and rain, with whips and chains; /just to see him fly, too many died"). In the end, the wizard climbs to the top of the tower but, instead of flying, falls down and dies: "no sound as he falls instead of rising. / Time standing still, then there's blood on the sand". The next song, "A Light in the Black", continues the story of the people who have lost all purpose after the Wizard's death "until they see the Light in the Dark", according to Dio.

@[Jessepearce:25868] What drugs are YOU on. This song has absolutely NOTHING to do with your Jeebus the Dead Jewish Zombie. Ritchie Blackmore and Ronnie James Dio had nothing nor wanted anything to do with your psychobabble and psychotic Christian religion.

Jeesh, do the world a favor. Next time YOU go to write something like this on a song like this? Just freaking don't.
