Florence + the Machine – Seven Devils Lyrics 7 years ago
Given the context of the song (i.e. what inspired her to write the lyrics), I believe that what is actually being said towards the end is:

You can keep it up
'Til it's 'tween the walls
'Til it takes your house
And they take your self
And what has been done
Cannot be undone
In the Eagle's eye
In the evensong

What I take this to mean is that she is trying to point out that you can try to keep up pretense and pretend that everything is fine and normal while battling these dark inner thoughts (the seven devils in your house), but eventually they are going to completely overwhelm/overcome you. Then, whatever actions you take because of submitting to your inner demons cannot be undone in the eye of White America (Eagle's eye could be interpreted as a reference to the political context of the novel she was inspired by), nor will it affect the way they view the protagonist's race at the end of the day.

Essentially, even if he would allow himself to succumb to his seven devils, and acted out accordingly, it would not make a difference. Which, unfortunately is similar to what the protagonist's girlfriend tells him toward the end of the novel, apparently.
