| @[bennyboyle:25254] I disagree - I think this song is about the opposite, and expressing a frustration with the fact that the singer feels a need to put a mask on, pretending that they're strong even though they feel weak and defeated. It's an acknowledgement of the opposite of most modern 'empowerment' songs, sarcastically emulating them in the chorus but showing the true, broken down self in the verses. Essentially, it is a satire of the modern pop sentiment that we are 'unstoppable.' While that's not super fun, it is a more accurate reflection of our fallen human condition, and a genuine outpouring of emotion rather than putting on a mask, which is a good thing! | |
