| The Silhouet – Poetic License Lyrics | 7 years ago |
|
Poetic License is pretty much about giving oneself the approval and freedom to speak about matters pertaining to the opposite sex, courtship, dating, et cetera. It's also about opening the floor for the opposing sex to state their views, hence: "Show me your poetic license." Moreover, the song is about the hopelessness that some men get with the process of courting and dating. |

Wrong Direction is my favorite because it's very personal. It's about a relationship I had with my ex who I felt did me wrong and wanted to send me down a path of self-destruction. Most favorite lyrics from this one: Your pretty lustful words, that periwinkle pearl Just can’t replace the scars of your embrace |

| The Silhouet – Charlatan's Ride Lyrics | 7 years ago |
| This song is pretty straight-to-the-point. It's about the music industry and how, if you're not careful, they will exploit you! I'm guessing there were a few charlatans that have crossed paths with The SIlhouet. ;) Very catchy tune! | |

from the way i see it, this song is about my ex...i thought about his addiction as well...it fit both situations. I see it as someone had the opportunity to have something really great had everything at their feet, and they chose instead to walk away. They chose to accept the plan of the devil (so to speak.)..they did it to themselves. From the addiction aspect - somewhat see it the same way, especially with these lyrics: I work for you now, you work for me now Lets’ find the balance between servant and master I get this culture, but you’re the vulture All in all, it's a great song with so much meaning! |
