Destruction is definitely a favorite of mine off of his second EP Face Your Fate. To me it is about the human condition. It's about conditions in our current society that strip to the core of every being. The song is about the give and take of how society operates to the point of feeling numb or apathetic. There is a line. "I work for you now, you work for me now. Lets’ find the balance between servant and master. It deals with societal structure of how many corporate businesses are set up or even regular jobs. it's about exploitation and abuse too in a sense. That's why the chorus sings "You’re facing the grave, you’ve made the mistake
And now it’s time for your destruction." it's watching these societal structures crumble after long periods of human rights abuses/ exploitation of humans for work purposes. |

to me this song is about revenge. it's about being so fed up and messed up because of a person, that you are wanting revenge in every single way. there is a lyric 'now my spirit is haunting you'..i think that lyric means that even while living, that person was made to feel dead so much in fact that his spirit, the very essence of his life/ being was hating and haunting her. really love the song :) |
