I can only assume it’s about his ex-girlfriend for whom ‘History for sale’ and ‘Foiled’ were based on. When you’re flat broke and living with your girlfriend it can be quite shameful and lonely. You’re scared to show your face around her, so you wait. Whilst she sleeps, you finally come out. You walk around the house ever so quietly to avoid making any sounds and you do the things you should have done earlier like eating, using the bathroom, drinking… or whatever else. Remembering those days sends a chill down your spine and you wonder if she ever misses you and days when you lived together. It’s a dreaded feeling, when you’re down for so long and you can’t find a way back up. I’ve been there. |
