Lol it took me a while to get this one because I kept thinking about falling in love as only a good thing, even whilst reading the song. But what the song is saying (voicing an opinion) that love always ends so what's the point of falling. I think the excited expressions of the video clip were intended to indicate to the audience not to take anything sung seriously. Great work, I might add. Even if we didnt get that would you seriously believe in something so negative? A lot of bad experiences can hurt but you should never let that make you lose hope. |

I think this song is sang through the minds of someone in the North (perhaps Scandanavia) that was invaded by Christians and knew the reason behind their conversion. They were powerless to do anything because this religion (like others, not naming) especially in those days when religion was of utmost importance, the Christians had an ingenious way to convert people (manipulating through fear). The person reflecting on this knew that the competition to have that one God that everyone believes in was just for control and ego. And also knew perhaps of how it would engulf humanity long after their death. The word "sentenced" towards the end can be translated to "this was their main point or this is part of what they said." Basically this leads me to believe that what was being said is "join us or (he doesn't say this but he says next) ... the world will come to an end/you will be saved." |

I think this song can be summarized in one sentence; it's a pity humanity cannot be content that we are merely here, we always want more and in this case it lead us to kill one another. |

Religion is a foolish invention – priests/preachers of any faith; NO ONE will ever know what becomes of us, so why are we wasting time with all the customs... How can you believe in something another HUMAN has said... (our time on the Earth is as if it were non existent/so tiny, like a grain of sand. How big is the universe? Is it all that exists? Was there more before it? Before that? What was the beginning?), ignorance truly is bliss, it's hard how people can't see this (the song isn't saying to be a bad person, it's just saying by default, religion is fake and this is coming from a pagan rock band that have more songs about the ancient Gods than any other band I know); all religion has caused is suffering. |
