I See Stars – Murder Mitten Lyrics 7 years ago
For me, its a song about the relationship between the parent and his/her child in the perspective of the child. Music video makes it quite evident

"You won't see my die here" - Control seems too far and exaggeration used to say how they have to let him/her go

"You always say I need to get as far as I can" - The parents have expectations for the child to become a successful person in their own terms

"While I've got time to play with and any risk I'll take it" - the protection they provide leaves them doing things that seem contuary to what parent wants them to do for success

"Or fade away in this suburban wasteland" - This can either show the parent's perspective on the child's hobby as he persues or the child's perspective on what he believes life would be like not doing what he loves

"And watch all your plans sink right under your feet
Sink right under your feet" - Zach states how the child doing what he loves fully just ruined the parent's plans for the kid's success

"Under your feet is the ground to break
You only take what you got
So don't just sit and watch the atrophy of it" - interesting enough, the parent's world is crashing as she believes the child isn't making the right choies, and yet the child is disappointed as the parent is letting him go

"I have stood back for way too long
You are broken
You are so broken"- shows how hypocritical the situation is for the child as the child believes the parent is giving up, whilst the parent let the child go, letting go what they believe is best for the child in tern letting the child do what he/she loves.

"I can see that we may be running out of time
The curtain's falling in slow motion
I can feel that the sense has left your mind" - the parent might have seem completely given up as they handle their own problems other than the child

"Why did you go
I can't watch
So quiet and peaceful
Where did I go wrong
Say you can stay
I can't look away" - parent may still have pain for letting the child go and finds peace away. The child only feels confusion and anger due to it as they don't understand how much the parent values the child and hence can't watch the child go against the plan whilst finding ease not seeing but knowing that the child is doing what he/she loves.

"Ask me why?
Go ahead and act like you don't know why" - The Child feels hatred towards the parents as he/she feels as if the parents gave up on them. The parent are equally blind towards the reasons why

"Well can you give me my breath back?" - the control felt suffocating and now the confusion feels the same

This song is relateable to me but overlooking it, the inevitability of pain is the only thing that this alongside with probably +90% of all good rock songs are trying to deliver.

you can concentrate on the pain on the lyrics or the beauty of the creativity of the band, its your choice.
Things are how you preceive it (hence reality)
Ugly things won't disappear once you see it in something,
its your choice then on to concentrate on the beauty or the uglyness

Capture The Crown – You Call That A Knife? This Is A Knife! Lyrics 7 years ago
The title is from (obviously) the famous australian adventure comedy movie 'Crockadile dundee' - It pretty much is a title speaking of Australia, more specificly, Australian society.

As an Australian, I can't find the lyrics more relavent and reflective of the people I see here in Australia. These lyrics describe not only just the relationship or experience Jeffrey had with a loose girl but groups them into a bunch to express his thoughts on them. The language is very colloquial Australin, believe it or not, the lyrics arn't that cringe or bad till the extent people should talk badly about the whole band.

The lyrics specificly concentrates on the loose females who pretty much fuck everyone (they exist). Jeffrey is conflicted by the fact that love is used too loosely too much till the extent that Australian culture believes that there is nothing wrong with it. He doesn't want to exploit them just for his pleasure but wants to stop it from going to a fully barbaric notion.

Many people get conflicted by the fact that people abuse sex and love and really have no place to scream it out on. With all these women empowerment which is all good, there is no place like this platform where Jeffrey can tell us about Australian society as crazy fems would just say that they have all rights to fuck 100 guys a year and still be self righteous about being loved and feeling true love.
