One of my favorite songs ever. "I was like half a man," Brian gets it, until we find real love,we are not whole. I can apply this song to my wonderful wife of 35 years or , when she passed to my 3 year old god-daughter (slight lyrical mods). Just wish I had Carl's voice to express it. The Spector influence is also present there with the driving bass and horns, and don't forget the harmony, like I say, one of the best. Fun, happy, loving. Pure. |
