To me, it sounds like he's talking about sinners in general and what will happen after they die. Just like their song Dancing on Glass. Not forgetting these sinners could possibly mean not to forget their sins so you won't commit the same sins. "The Dive" could refer to "The Fall" which is the fall of man. When we fell into sin.
The master could represent God and when he talks about them calling out to them calling out to him and they discover why they were left behind could very much refer to a piece in the bible |
