To me it sounds like he's writing it to someone he hasn't seen in a while because their relationship ended due to a misunderstanding and they are not on speaking terms but he wants to fix it. He's trying to explain it and fix it in the letter but he can't get the words right. Do you ever have that with someone, where you still love them and you know there's a way to fix it but it is so hard to articulate what you want to say? He's made all of these mistakes and said the wrong things in the past to ruin everything and now without her he realizes that nothing really matters. The pain he's in cuts to the bone and he feels like the worlds falling apart as their relationship has fallen apart because she meant the world to him. He just wants to know if she feels the same way because the silence between them is killing him. She probably does. |
