@[soletsdance:24411] “The last excuse that I'll claim I was a boy who loved a women like a little girl” At this point he realizes that she does not love him, but his hope, his dream, his heaven was that she reciprocated his feelings for her. He loves her like a boy who loves a little girl. This kind of love is pure and innocent; holding hands, or a simple kiss is the ultimate expression. It is not so much lustful as it is loving, gentle and lasting. “And still I cant let you be Most nights I hardly sleep” Even though he knows she does not love him, he can't let go and it is tearing him up. His mind goes round and round so that he hardly sleeps. He is in despair. “Don't take what you don't need from me” He is expressing anguish because she has taken his love and affection and it appeared she reciprocated his feelings, but it has become apparent that she really does not. She took his love, but ultimately rejected it. She did not need it. I've lived this. Am living this. |
