| My first take on this was that he refers to 'love made of gold' as a highly valued, precious but shallow kind of affection he holds for someone that had some sort of impact him in the past, whom he still is haunted by in his memories: 'Another one, another you'. He feels unable to reach a higher spiritual connection with anyone, past ('Never loved her') or present ('Another soul to meet my void'). The next lines however don't really make sense by this theory, so I'll just leave it at that. | |
