I think the lyrics can't be explained with logical thinking and meaning. the lyrics generate and describe a feeling, of uncertainty and delusion about the meaning of life, about expectations we all have and had, who we are, and what we thought life is. which was an illusion because nobody knows the answer to who we are why we are here, and what the purpose of our life is . but, we all have a feeling inside, that can't be explained with logical thinking and meaning. if we listen very hard it gives us a hint, a feeling for the answer. a feeling like in a dream spoken in a symbolic language and experienced with feelings.
I heard Robert Plant say in an interview, the lyrics were just there, he didn't have to think about them, he started to write and they were just there.. which is real creativity. channeling from the spiritual realm. that's why the lyrics are so mysterious and touching for most people. dreamlike. He still doesn't know until this day what he was writing down.
Kurt Cobain once answered the question, of what their music is about and he said, we make our music without thinking about it, unconsciously, it is just there. therefore we can't explain our music. and so are the Nirvana lyrics. they can't be explained in a logical way, but they generate a feeling/mood which is pretty much the same for everyone who listens to them. the same effect as in Stairway To Heaven. |

He doesn' love her anymore, and he knows, that he is hurting her very much. therefore he feels very bad. and he apologizes for hurting her so much. seriosly, for me, this is the most heartbreaking song, the saddest song ever. it's absolutely beautiful and incredibly touching. but, I can not listen to it. it's simply too sad. I don't enjoy feeling sad. and I am male. |

@[Tiltcr:37693] sorry, but he doesn't love her (anymore). and he knows that he is hurting her very much, hence he is feeling bad. to me this is the most heartbraking song ever - honestly. I would even say it's the saddest song ever and I am male. its a beautiful song, incredibly touching, absolutely. nevertheless I can't listen to it, because it's simply too sad. I don't enjoy feeling sad. |

its about unhappy relationship. curt said, they can't explain their music, because they do it unconcious. but this song has a very clear message in my opinion. this is about an unhappy relationship and he still can't get away from her. he starts to hate her, but still loves her too much. curt was borderliner. this is what is happening in most the relationships of borderliner. it starts in heaven and ends in hell ( for the non-borderliner) |

i think it is very cryptic.
they are spirits. getting to us through a time window/wormhole and become people. these spirits manifest to human form to spread their message. to remind people: we are the force in every boy and girl in the world which gives them the feeling to have desire (which is described in the song,also with memories) to find each other and connect. a feeling of desire to find each other to fall in love and make love. if you believe in them you will become a believer and share the feeling with every boy and girl in the world to know each other: i know everything about you, you know everything about me. we know everything about us. all have the same feeling. if you can believe.
at the end of the video they disapear and leave our dimension.
they become spirits again. the dead bodies remain. |
