Morrissey – The Edges Are No Longer Parallel Lyrics 3 years ago
These lyrics are beautiful in the way they succinctly describe bi-polar condition in its early stages.

Awesome song. In the midst of my depression, I often remember having a magical day where there was no anxiety or sadness, just a desire to live. It often lasted one day, but it was an awesome time.

@[zackmorgs:24301] it's a similar reaction I get when I listen to The War on Drugs. Vaguely familiar, like a Don Henley song or some Similar song playing in my dad's car radio when I was a kid in the 80's. Intimate nostalgia.

@[531:24300] that bridge! Amazing that this band can still hold my attention from one, beautiful, amazing album. It's like they gave us Sgt Peppers right away minus the journey to greatness that the Beatles went through.

@[wtrussler:24299] I can relate to that sentiment. It's how I came to love this band since I was young. Devoted fandom coz of one album... strange

Morrissey – The Edges Are No Longer Parallel Lyrics 8 years ago
I always thought the song was about losing one's grasp with reality. Slowly going insane. Edges are no longer parallel, meaning extremes colliding with one another. Good/bad , happy/sad, they are all now one and the same. Constantly living in a world of extremes. Hence "no law of averages here" line.

Just my 2 cents. It's a great song.
