Metallica – Metal Militia Lyrics 8 years ago
Wow, all these years I was way off on thinking what the lyrics actually were. Most of it I would just sing things like "We all junza go stop with me now, staring and burning.....". Then the chorus was "Whoa, the militia's the madness...running in the 'lectric field....Metal Militia". Thank god for the internet. LOL.

Metallica – Phantom Lord Lyrics 8 years ago
1983-84, no lyrics in the album sleeve so we were left to fend for ourselves with Kill 'Em All. I was in high school and thought I was a metal head (listened to Maiden, Priest, Sabbath, Dio, Scorps, etc) until a new kid came to our school and introduced my group of friends to Metallica, Exodus, Metal Church, Merciful Fate, Slayer and much more that we never heard. This kid was was also a drummer, we'd ditch school, do bongs, go to his pad or mine since we had the crankin' stereos and he'd lip sync to the songs and play air drums - we were blown away by this amazing demonstration of metal mastery. Metallica stood head and shoulders above all the other bands. Kill 'Em All is a masterpiece that embodies that raw, youthful, aggressive, beautiful, genuine thrash sound. I feel blessed to have experienced that in my youth.

Metallica – No Remorse Lyrics 8 years ago
34 years after first listening to this song as a teen, I look up these lyrics since all these years I could only comprehend about 50% of what Hetfield is singing on the Kill 'em All album. Fascinating and intelligent. I can relate, I work in an industry that helps feed the war machine - we publish a mil/aero magazine and I sell advertising to companies that manufacture products that go into building and designing weaponry, aircraft, missiles, bombs, etc. At one period of time back in my Ron Paul days it somewhat bothered me that war and the technology of death is a booming business. But now I say f&ck it, no remorse, it's just a job that puts food on the table.

Lastly, Hammett fkn shreds on this song.
