Talking Heads – Heaven Lyrics 1 hour ago
@[mundial:55404], I totally agree with you.
If you are truly in love, you don't want anything to mess that up.
You don't want to lose it, and you really enjoy every minute of it.
If you are lucky, you enjoy it over and over and over again and it never ends.
The party and the bar fit right into this interpretation.
My thoughts.

Dire Straits – Where Do You Think You're Going? Lyrics 4 years ago
I think this is a complicated song.
At first blush it looks like a selfish man who has an abusive streak.
At second look, I think the man is in anguish, and is resorting to things he's never done before (abuse), and is at wits end since he feels she is gone and there is nothing else he could possibly do.
The ending jam does have an upbeat tempo suggesting either a happy ending or the decision to just fantasize positively about the relationship.

Radiohead – Lucky Lyrics 8 years ago
I think its a Love song.

First verse:
Sara is his love and I think their relationship is complicated.
He wants nothing more than her and is very optimistic when thinking about her.
Like we all do he crashes and burns sometimes and she helps him through it, maybe just the thought of her gets him through it.

Second verse:
Who's more important than a Head of State? Spending time with or thinking about Sara is. Again he wants nothing more than her and is very optimistic when thinking about her.

Chorus:
I think he feels she genuinely loves him which gives him that "superhero" feeling. She may have told him so at one point.
They are standing on the Edge, because like I said their relationship is complicated and something is keeping them from fully committing to each other.

The song ends in a way which is really not an ending but a "what's next"?
