| I think it’s the speaker recalling their love of the person mentioned and how they used to think about them all the time. They probably tried to get them to love them by giving a lot to them probably emotionally but not getting anything in return (you can get what you want but it’s never enough) and them spinning for the person is them trying to please them to get them to love them. In the second chorus, when it says “when you asked me how I doing like you know how much better off I am” it seems like the speaker is talking about how not being with the person is good for them because they’re not trying to constantly please them or think about them all the time. | |
