i think this is about betrayal, the person was betrayed by someone they held in high regard. The betrayal was abrupt and the person never so it coming. So the person is now a slave of the happy memories before the betrayal, wounded pride and anger towards the betrayer |

i believe this song is about conformity and the lies we are made to believe. The song talks of an individual who could never fit in anywhere, due to trauma, deformity, asocial behavior etc. This person is made to believe they are less, inferior and don't belong. However this person has an alter ego or a side of them that refuses to die and fights the lies that they here. They feed the wolf their alter ego and shed their skin, a skin they have been made to wear by society. |

I think this song is about life experiences both past and present. The void alone in essence is what the future of the singer has in store for him after barely surviving he's past. The person wants to move on hence the line " forget the past or be swarmed with regret " but he struggles to hence the by the vocalist which goes by " I don't want to face the void alone " . Anyway this experience is synonymous with people surviving traumatic experiences, drug addiction, rape etc |
