| @[This_i_love_:23669] This song was written in 1991/92 when Axl and Stephanie were still together. In an interview with Hit Parader in 1992 Axl mentions he has a new love song, This I Love, which he wants to include on his next album. He also mentions his girlfriend Stephanie and their life together several times in this interview. I personally believe the song was written for Erin. As was the song Estranged, which Axl himself has said so. One line in Estranged states "why must it drift away and die" and he "never wanted it to die" meaning his relationship with Erin. In This I Love he also states he "just can't let it die". It may well be about Stephanie somehow, but they were still together when it was written. I tend to lean more towards it being about Erin. | |
