I love songs like this, that give you enough space to take it in your own personal way. To me, this song is however very straight forward. I can't obviously pour out every small detail and say for sure it could very well involve drugs, but to me it's being in a relationship and just completely wrecking your partner. In whatever way it was, but he is watching the destruction he caused. Almost like a what a narcassist does to their spouse/partner. Very destructive, and the narcassist enjoys watching the person change from their doing. That's just how the song screams out to me. Maybe it's because I've been in that situation, but it definitely makes sense. |

I've been listening to this album since it came out all those years ago. My interpretation of this is struggling with depression, or possibly even some other mental issues that make you feel alone, etc. It could very well mean something entirely different, however I've struggled with mental illness and depression and this song has did a well job at explaining how I felt on the daily. Thanking korn for making songs that help people through whatever they are going through. You can always feel and hesr the raw emotion in his voice in his songs. |
