I rated this at 4 stars but I might give it a 5! Cause Taylor is throwing shots at those fake friends that betray you every single time and those people who are always trash talking about you, in this case the media! Obviously those fake friends she's talking about is Kim and Kanye, specially Kanye - "Friends don't try to trick you/ Get you on the phone and mind-twist you" which refers to the Kim snapchat incident & "But I'm not the only friend you've lost lately" that refers about Kanye "losing" Jay and Bey as friends! |

I think this song is about two perpectives: Natalie (and the Chicks) talking to their fans or fan, about what happened with them after Natalie's comments, cause most of their fans abandoned them and their just asking like what happened? where did you go? - "The words that you said/They still ring in my head/Don't you know/We say goodbye/With a tear in our eye/Oh, where'd you go?"... then we have the perspective of a fan who i think is regretting leaving them or at least is kinda apologizing in behalf of the all fan base and saying to the chicks that it's not their fault and they should've continued- "It's not alright
I can't sleep tonight/Knowing you should have played on/On and on... this song is absolutely beautiful as all of their songs are, and this is my interpertation of it! |
