Everyone knew her situation but no one tried to help or do anything, hence the emphasis on "we all knew" because everyone knew her state but none helped. "She tried to call me a month ago To sing me a song that she just wrote But I wasn't home I should've know That time had taken it toll She had no place to go" She actually asked for help, for attention but due to her "habit" she was ignored or pushed back. She grew weak and with no other place to turn too... "They found her body resting by the river." "But time had taken it toll She had no place to go" Slowly drifted from each other and her depression caught on, pulling her towards the habit. "We still have September" Probably it was a significant month, like an anniversary for the 2 of them (lead and Madeline) "If I could could turn back time I'd find a way to remind you That some how you could try to give in and fight the good fight Oh you didn't have to die You filled your veins with lies My precious Madeline" He regrets not saving her, especially when he knew he could have saved her.. He regrets letting his precious Madeline lose herself, and him losing her... .... depression is strong cruel silent killer... And not everyone can survive it alone. It does not discriminate and it hides in plain site. If you know someone that struggles, please... Dont give up on them, whatever you do , as small as.it might seem, it might be enough just to prevent a horrible mistake that planty would regret . |
