She's talking about how everyone, including herself is lost in social media and the need to be popular. "I confess I am lost In the age of the social" Shes saying that although we are lost in the media there is still a test to be kind and loving and most people say that they are kind and loving, but when a tragic event happens "Shots were fired on the street By the church where we used to meet" People just use the event for their well being and benefit instead of sympathizing for families that are affected. The media uses peoples tragedies for money and popularity. Like corporate greed. Her perspective is from someone who had just lost a loved one and she's watching how the people and the media react. The angel down could also mean "fallen angel" and in biblical terms it means someone who gives in to temptation. Maybe this "angel" gave into drugs or fame and let it kill her. And maybe she/he is famous and that could factor in to why the media is taking advantage of tragedies.I don't know. Tell me what you think. |
