This song is extremely powerful and very relatable. For once, my connection to it is so strong because the lyrics of Henning remind me of my past relationship which parallels the lyrics almost identically. Falling in love with someone and having them mean so much to you, but something (my interpretation is a mental health disorder), taking who you are away from yourself, and that person you love drifting away. Then realizing how dark you've become, and how your life is so effected by eventually losing this person, and how your personality is diminishing because of this disorder. Later on, still battling whatever it is that changed you, Henning is explaining how he doesn't want that person/people to still see how he is effected by whatever it is he is battling, and how he isn't the same as he was when the relationship started. Thank you Suis for this incredible song. |
